Going for a Song!

This phrase sprung to mind earlier today as i made my way to see a very dedicated practitioner of the Ancient Medical art of Acupuncture. The name of this practitioner is indeed a Dr Song.I am by no means taking his name in vain or suggesting his medical knowledge is going Cheap! On the contrary it is an expression of endearment to a man and Doctor to whom i have given my faith and trust too over the last nineteen years on occasions when I have found there to be 'No joy' in the pharmaceutical offerings of my General Practitioner.Indeed down these 19 or so years I have always found Dr Song's methods to be more immediately in harmony with the mainly physical ailments which i have presented to him. On this particular occasion it is an ongoing hip complaint which I have been unable to remedy through 'conventional medicines and treatments'.The National health Physiotherapist who's clinic i have been attending had just recommended a Cortisone injection after becoming frustrated too by the stubbornness on my hip to be receptive to treatments thus far! It is now an option to have this Cortisone jab to hopefully speed up my ability to move freely again but in the meantime my two visits to see Dr Song have reaped immediate dividends in regards to pain relief and a much deeper affect on my hip at least functioning at one end of my leg whilst moving! and for this i am particularly grateful. In respect to the cost of Dr Song's treatments i would say that the price of them is very reasonable in relation to their immediate impact on improving my condition and to this end you might well say that Going for a Song is like saying the cost of this effective treatment in definitely a bargain! One more thing about my appointment this morning is that the impact of my treatment felt pretty much immediate and indeed i came out of the good Dr's surgery with an immense sense of sudden well being come over me! Now this may just be that a number of endorphins had been released and thus improving my 'Feel Good Factor'.But hey, this is want we want from our Doctor's isn't it?? My subsequent sense of New Wellbeing today may inadvertently lead to a NEW CAREER for me now as a Stand Up Comic? It was a suggestion made to me but Dr Song's Secretary on hearing a couple of my quips to The Good Doctor about taking down a Banner for him outside his Surgery?I don't recall my exact words but it did stick with me that this lady may have see the potential in me(in only a five minute encounter)to stand up and make a fool of myself in front of an Audience! and in this sense i am very grateful of Dr song's secretary/assistant for recognising this potential in me..I am already planning the gag's and also the get out quick route should it not be appreciated by anyone listening..Indee it may not even lead to 'going public'but maybe a select group of close friends who i feel comfortable with will forgive my indulgence! If it ever happens, one thing i can guarantee if ever it does come to a public event, the tickets will be going for a Song! Happy day's..ArtistbyThe Sea(or should it be Estuary!!)

January 31st 2017

Something to look forward to gives us reason to get up in the morning. It may be no more than watching the sun lay long shadows across the land,or enjoying the aroma of coffee and the sound of bacon sizzling in the skillet. Life's little pleasures give us greater compassion and the ability to comfort and to be comforted. It is a lonely road that does not have time for the daily joy's that are so common but so enlivening. Certain small things and observances sometimes have connection with large and more profound ideas. Written by Plenty-Coups of the Crow Nation

Well, ain't time a fine thing. With thanks to Paul Anderson I have just're-located'the Original Blogger site. Originally started many moons ago and subsequently forgotten about.Lost somewhere beneath the Waves and backwater's of the great Ocean of lost causes,or lurking in Cyberspace awaiting a resurrection(of sorts!). That being said, isn't it true that lost causes still remain just beneath the surface if we care to resurrect them again? When I put out some tentacles from memory in order to seek my 'refrain from lost causes'. I have discovered that on the Virtual Waves of the Internet(and metaphors are intended)other reader's have picked up on references and in Paul's case responded with a positive riposte. By a cool serendipity when i pressed the New Blogger Link which Paul had suggested. The'Old Blogger' arose as if like the Wreckage of the Marie Celeste! (And what a story that was). I'm not claiming there is a story here, but at least the passage of time has left a reminder of a past attempt to write a blog! There are ghost's and Cargo present from the 'Old Blog' but the Story's will be brought up to date, embellished perhaps with new anecdotes or innuendo's,conspiricies and observations. Non of which maybe be either true or false but all of which will be of the point of view that something said may have a resonance with other mind's wanting to swim in the sea or is it the Estuary of life??!! Perhaps more attempted Strokes later! Thanks for indulging and if nothing else check out the Story of The Marie Celeste on Wikipedia i do like a good Conspiracy don't you...
